Dear Kate O’Neill (again),

I feel so warm and snuggly while reading…

I really love tea and I think dragons are so wonderful! Therefor, your comic is something that is easy to fall for! I love your subtle use of magic and just the easy going mood of your comic. It’s so light and dreamy. I love the characters and I feel like they are fragile and precious. Yet, their personalities are strong, honest, and resilient. I think your story is so cute and beautifully told.

I love how the moment when Greta drank tea from Erik and Hesekiel’s dragons. I really like the idea of sharing memories through tea and sharing yourself. I love how tea dragons have such a connection to their owners! AH! It’s all so lovely. I would hope to see you explore this further. To see Greta grown up. I loved how in the story she prized keeping up tradition. It did not see burdensome to her, but an honor. I like the idea of keeping up simple, beautiful traditions like making tea.

Here is my personal favorite brand of tea: https://www.zhenas.com/

I am currently drinking: https://www.zhenas.com/holiday-stackable-tea-bags.html

What are you drinking? Is your relationship with tea what inspired your comic? What kind of tea dragon would you have? I’d love to hear about it! Anyway, great work!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,

The Webcomic Whisperer

Dear Jonathon Wallach,

I feel inspired to go on an adventure by…

ranger

…but it’s probably better to stay indoors.

I have some warm and fuzzy feelings about your comic because it reminds me of those days going into the woods and fighting imaginary demons (yesterday.) Ranger Pugsly’s Camp for Adventurous Youth is super fantastical and quirky! I love it so much. It’s like reading in on a super dangerous DnD campaign with kids were they all are getting lucky against these highly dangerous monsters. The humor in your work is just awesome. It’s like “of course this is how things are. Not weird at all. doo doo doo.” And Josh is just the poor scared witness to all the madness. I LOVE IT!

I think my favorite moment is when Tim went into the woods and Ranger Pugsly “helped” him get over his fear of spiders! And he had log sandals. And then we learned about Spider Ork preservation. And it was all so amazing and wonderful. And you have so many amazing details in your story! You’ve built characters and settings that are so rich and creative!!

Your art style is awesome. Your backgrounds are detailed. Your characters are on point. It’s all sparkle sparkle love love love. I love it! And I love your twitter comics too. I can really tell when webcomic artists use their experience with animation to create their work. Your comics feel very cinematic and the development of your story is super good. Good good goooooooooood.

KEEP UP THE HARD WORK AND BEING CREATIVE!!

Love,

The Webcomic Whisperer

Dear Beka Duke,

I am so enamored with…

2017-10-07 (2).png

It’s absolutely magical. I love love love the mix of Phantom of the Opera and Frankenstien! It’s so cool and it works so well. The things I really enjoy most about your work is the costume designs and the characters. The clothes move and fit the characters so well. It’s nice to get to know characters through their style and really adds a lot of flavor to the comic! The characters themselves are nicely realized and adapted into your work. I always love seeing familiar characters in a new light. I love Christine and she is so complex/ powerful!

Your story captures the tragic and horrid atmosphere of both stories well. The blend of the two is just such a smart and interesting idea! I also love how you never give all the details and you switch between memories and the present. It just makes me want to read more and more to figure out the drama and the mystery!! I want to know your twist on things! I can’t wait to read more!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,

Dear Kristina Stipetic,

I really love…

Your comic is super cool and unique and I am so excited to write you this letter oh my goodness good golly gosh!!! First of all: I love how complex, emotional, confusing, and interesting your comic is. I really enjoy reading each chapter and seeing how the main character interacts with the different robot communities. To see how different these robots are “not efficient” is really cool. Your comic really nicely touches on how complex and diverse oppression can be. How a group can oppress and feed off one or how a system can oppress a population. There is so much emotion and thought that is reflected in your work. I enjoy reading it because it really makes you think about your own feelings about oppression and society. Who am I oppressing? Are my relationships healthy? How can I be the most efficient?

I like how the main character is the outside robot who comes in and inspires/ enacts change. I am excited to find out what their overall purpose is and if they are really doing a good thing destroying the social structure of the groups they visit. And why did they suddenly get a tail?! I love their design and really all your character designs! Your robots and the landscapes feel really organic and natural. Your characters do have robotic characteristics and mannerisms, but they look like organisms that have evolved and always lived in their environments? I am interested in learning more about their origins.

I also want to comment on your color schemes, because they are on point. I love the muted tones and you just make really smart color choices that look great. Your style is very practiced and refined. It is clear that you’ve taken time to perfect your craft and have developed your own language of drawing things.

I could go on and on. I just really love your work and am excited to read more.

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,

The Webcomic Whisperer

Dear Elliwiny and Sincerely,

Merry Christmas! Santa left me a present and it’s …

Opportunities!

Your webcomic is so suspenseful and packed with flavor it is ridiculous! You have a wonderful cast of characters and a story that is well crafted/ complex. I really love how fast paced the plot moves, seeing all the different characters interact, and slowly discovering what is going on! Like, what the heck is going on?! Again, your cast of characters is amazing and they all have rich personalities. I love the Baron and watching him interact with the others. It’s super creepy…super…creepy… O_O

Vigi has to be my favorite character though, and I just love her design! All the characters/ aliens have been designed really well! I love how different they are but not over thought or purposefully over complex. I like your drawing style as well! It’s very clean and looks well practiced. The action scene feel fluid and not stiff at all. Great job!! And the writing has helped create a rich world that I can not wait to see more of. You two seem like an awesome team!! Opportunities is a great comic you should be super proud of.

I can not wait to see what happens next with Jack busting in and wrecking shiz. I can not wait to see what happens with Vigi. I can not wait for more of Opportunities!!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Tessa Stone,

I am terrified by…

Terrified…but in love. YOUR COMIC IS SO GOOD!!! It is so bloody and beautiful. Everything feels fast paced and like MY life is on the line. I feel like I am going to die along with the rest of your characters. Whom I love by the way. I really love Varker! He is so irritable and sassy!!! And his head-tongue is cool too.

You’re very good at interjecting comedy in the midst of terror. Many times while reading I was both very amused and scared to death. You’re illustrations of terrifying creatures are so well designed and imaginative.  Your colors are very atmospheric and vibrant. They set the mood and really make me feel immersed. I also love the way your panels flow and punch the story along. Makes me feel like I have to keep reading, keep running, or the monsters will get me too!!!

Your character designs, colors, panels, etc. All of it is awesome, well done, professional, beautiful, amazing, exciting, and all around super duper bone shaking-ly scary as shit. I can not wait for more updates!!!!!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Ryan and Sage,

I’ve drank some…

And this one is the best I’ve ever had! Your comic is so sweet and exciting! I am really enjoying watching Esther and Maria’s interactions. I just scream “ASK HER OUT!!” over and over. Yet, it’s nice to see them just enjoying each others company and their friends being supportive but not pushy. It’s all just super sweet. I love when Maria’s friend went with her to ask Esther for more study time. Ahhhhh! too cute!

I am so fond of magical comics and adventures! I just love seeing how different writers/ artists interpret the theme. I think the writing and the art is so awesome and you two have done an amazing job! The story is coming along nicely and I am hooked!!! I am invested in seeing what happens with Esther and Maria and also to learn more about the world! And the art makes me swoon. So many lovely colors and compliments. Everything looks well thought out and designed.

Great work and great comic. I can not wait to see more!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,
