Dear Rose Bousamra,

I felt STAR STRUCK reading…

Image result for gutless tapas

(because your comic’s setting is “the Realm of the Seven Stars. Ahem. Anyways.) I am so excited to read more and more of your comic! I am so impatient and I want to know what happens next! I like the relationship that Milo and Tesla have (for the most part.) When she wanted a friend, she found one in this wooden knight. I am anxious to learn  how Milo turns into their current form! I’m not sure how I totally feel about their friendship though, because Tesla seems to have no problem asking Milo to partake in “bad” things. Like, killing a one-eyed deer and capturing Ophie. And what’s up with that giant cat?! Hmm. I guess you’ll show us eventually.

I always like to see classic fantasy characters, but with a twist. You’ve made “the princess” a witch, “the knight” a magical wooden doll, and “the mermaid”…well we don’t know all her secrets yet. All your characters are unique, diverse, and well designed! Even the background characters have so much style and amazing outfits! You’ve created your own unique realm! Even if the realm has a “predictable” name, I don’t expect the adventures that happen there to be predictable! I can’t wait to see more! And if this is one realm, are there others?! Oh man, I wanna know!

Oh, and by the way your drawing style is unique and whimsical! Your use of color is amazing. It’s so beautiful. And I don’t know you as a person, but I assume you are unique, beautiful, and whimsical as well!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,

Dear Benji Nate,

I just got to write about…

Cat Boy

How could I not?! Your comic… I am literally living for it you have no idea. The moment I saw it on Vice I was like “This is me. This is my aesthetic. This is everything I could ever want!” Always ordering pizza, painting clowns, dressing cute head-to-toe, and being best friends with a cat boy?! Olive is my spirit animal and all I could aspire to be! I really enjoy reading Olive and Henry’s slice-of-life adventure! It’s great!

Aside from you drawing some amazingly cute doki doki characters, your colors just make me swoon. Those pastels and mute tones are just MWAH! So good. And I love your text placement. I think it is so fun and interesting when you take words out of comic bubbles and place them on the page to make them apart of the composition. You’ve really put together an adorable and spunky comic that I can’t get enough of!! I have pre-ordered the book with stickers! I’m about to get a “cool boy” shirt! I am just in love with this brand. In love with this comic. In love with the cat boy life-style!!!!!!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Kyle Latino,

I’ve been inspired to grow a beard by…

Image result for she dwarf comic

Your comic is so charming and hilarious! I really love all the colorful characters and am excited to see more of the adventure as it comes out. My favorite characters are for sure She-Dwarf and Hack! When She-Dwarf tore off Hack’s beard?! …that was awesome!!! The action was so clear and cleverly drawn. You’ve really taken the time to create a visually interesting tale.

And I love stories with their own lore! I can not wait to learn more about yours. Will She-Dwarf make it to Dammerung?! It reminds me of an epic DnD adventure! I LOVE IT! Also, I mean, the character expressions are amazing! Hack cracks me up with his detailed and extreme reactions! You’ve done a great job making all your characters distinct and memorable. Oh, and the colors POP they are so bright and beautiful! Makes your comic look really crisp and exciting! GREAT JOB!!!!!! I can not wait to read more!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Natalie Riess,

I felt fierce while reading…

Image result for snarlbear

Daisy Snarlbear is the buffest babe in webcomics! I LOVE IT! You have done a great job portraying the complexity of strength and power in your comic. I really enjoyed watching Snarl’s story unfold as she dealt with the growing fear of possibly  becoming a monster! I felt genuine worry for Snarl and also Cassiopeia that they would be overcome with power and never be able to return to their normal selves. The story took many twists and turns that I didn’t expect.  In the end,  it was sweet and a great tale about the strength of one’s will. Or at least that’s what I think!

Visually, Snarlbear is a flippin’ joy! No color unused, no sparkle out of place! I am overjoyed by your painterly use of digital media throughout the comic and watercolor on the chapter covers!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! And I love all the cute characters juxtaposed with the terribly fearsome monsters. All your creatures are nicely designed and colored beautifully!  All your settings are mystical and interesting! I am so curious as to what the whole Rainbow Dimension looks like! Maybe I’ll imagine it for myself…-thinks- yep amazing! You have created the feeling of a rich and wide world, even though Snarl only visited a few places.

I really enjoyed Snarlbear beginning to end. I look forward to seeing more projects from you and possibly another webcomic? Whatever  you do I am sure it will be awesome, colorful, and full of spunk!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Cryoclaire and Lo Black,

I am so tripping on…

Image result for drugs and wires

You have put a lot of thought into the environment, social setting, and political landscape of Drugs and Wires.  I also read Dreamspace and I love it!!! I am a big fan of the cyberpunk aesthetic and dark humor! Cryoclaire’s use of color and visualization of trippy scenes is amazing… and a little horrific. I just really enjoy the creative take on how you depict Dan’s self-inflicted misery. Great work!

I am really liking Lo Black’s writing as well! I like how the focus is on Dan/ Lin and the over-all plot is coming together in bits and pieces. Like, every time I think Dan is going to get better or at least be “okay” and there is a little hope…well that is taken away and covered in more mystery about what this “worm” really is or something else bad. I can not wait to read more and learn more about Dan and Lin and the crazy world they inhabit.

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Pascalle Lepas,

There is a lot of weird and crazy stuff happening in…

And I am loving it! Your story is really great because the characters feel real and the situations are fantastical!! I love the classic protagonist (Oscar Wilde) coming to a town he doesn’t know and getting more that he bargained for.  I really love all the complicated and interesting characters Oscar meets as well.  Sylvia Snyder is my favorite so far! She is so sweet and a great companion to Oscar. I’m sure she makes him feel a little at ease in such a bizarre town! Yet, I have been worried about her lately…

I am so giddy about the classical literature and Native American mythology references you make in this comic! They aren’t over done and you put a unique twist to them. And I really enjoy the imagery of the action scenes you create and how you move the story along through your drawings. You show more sometimes rather than tell. I think that takes great skill and is amazing. I really enjoy your art style as well. AND the writing is great!!

I can not wait to see more with the werewolf buddy and the blue rose witch! And I can not wait to see what mysterious and horrific things happen next!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,
