Dear Benji Nate,

I just got to write about…

Cat Boy

How could I not?! Your comic… I am literally living for it you have no idea. The moment I saw it on Vice I was like “This is me. This is my aesthetic. This is everything I could ever want!” Always ordering pizza, painting clowns, dressing cute head-to-toe, and being best friends with a cat boy?! Olive is my spirit animal and all I could aspire to be! I really enjoy reading Olive and Henry’s slice-of-life adventure! It’s great!

Aside from you drawing some amazingly cute doki doki characters, your colors just make me swoon. Those pastels and mute tones are just MWAH! So good. And I love your text placement. I think it is so fun and interesting when you take words out of comic bubbles and place them on the page to make them apart of the composition. You’ve really put together an adorable and spunky comic that I can’t get enough of!! I have pre-ordered the book with stickers! I’m about to get a “cool boy” shirt! I am just in love with this brand. In love with this comic. In love with the cat boy life-style!!!!!!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Lizz Lunney,

I lovelove… and its weird and wonderful webcomics.

Your comics are so fun and funny! And your characters have the best expressions and I love how you draw animals! Golly! I really enjoyed your most recent comic/ quiz, “Obsessed with Ducks?” I read through and I got “it could be worse.” I’m not too obsessed I guess.  You also have amazing comics in your portfolio as well! Your “Comic a Day June” is super funny spectacular.

The way you draw animals and characters with a distinct style is really unique! I love their long limbs and little faces!! You’ve made your characters mostly just paper white and I really enjoy how you use color in the background to make them pop. Also, I just think the lack of human characters in your comic is super great. I love seeing lanky animals doing funny things. I just love it!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Faith Erin Hicks,

I loved reading through the ninja filled strips of…

You really did an awesome job with mixing slice of life humor with super hero adventures! Superhero Girl is a very cute and relatable girl hero and I love her simple but iconic outfit. I want to go out and buy a star shirt just like hers! I really enjoy seeing Superhero Girl deal with normal girl things like her annoying brother or getting a job or going to parties. Mostly because I am a girl and deal with all those things too!

Your art style is really fun and adorable. You have a nice varied line width and lot of different expressions your characters have. Your also are really good at drawing action and fight scenes. I think it is awesome you published The Adventures of Superhero Girl  strips into a full color hardcover book! I saw some of the color pages online and they look amazing.

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Dirk Grundy,

When I want to feel giddy and gory I read…

There isn’t a webcomic author in existence that I know of that does psychological horror as good as you do. I am truly invested, in love with, and scared of your characters. Especially Doc! His egotistical, self-centered, and depressive personality makes him all the more appealing as a character. Doc goes through some pretty tough stuff throughout the story. Like, explosions and mutant cats. Yet, with the most recent update it looks like he’ll pull through! Thanks for giving us viewers some hope! It may not last, but I can not wait to see what happens next.

Not only do you have an amazing plot going on, but I think your artist talent is amazing as well. The way you draw action is very fluid and keeps the eye moving. You really have put a lot of thought in planning out your panels. You art style is something I really love. Each character’s face and design is very distinct and stylistic. String Theory is a truly special webcomic experience!

Keep being creative and working hard!

Dear Minna Sundberg,

Oh, gosh…

Image result for stand still stay silentis a very trilling story!

I really can not wait for each new update! The artwork is so detailed and colorful! The plot, lore, setting, and culture of your work is all so engrossing! I just love how your characters speak different, but similar languages. I also really enjoy when you include language keys and pages with lore facts. It just makes the world your characters live in seem so real and rich.

I am just enthralled by the beautiful, spiritual world surrounding your cast. Seeing how some of the characters interact with the spiritual world adds so much interest and color to their setting (a cold, “silent world.”) Your cast of researchers just seem in constant danger!  I am always scared of the people who aren’t immune being hurt! Your comic has a good amount of tension!! I am excited to see what happened with them next!

Keep being creative and keep up the hard work!

Dear Maya Kern,

The most magical and musical webcomic award goes to…

Image result for monster pop!!!

I really love your whole cast of characters! You really do a great job of showcasing their relationships and emotions in an adorable way. Their stories are super relatable despite some of them having more than two eyes and magical powers! My favorite thing about Monster Pop though is when George gets M-U-S-I-C-A-L!!!

Really, Monster Pop is super cute and fun. All the bright colors and your artistic style make your comic really POP! Oh, and tiny Minaj is the greatest thing. Monster Pop is really full of great hilarious jokes and meaningful story telling. I really appreciate the diversity of your cast. I just really appreciate your comic in general!

Keep up the hard work and keep being creative!

Dear Aleks Sennwald and Pete Toms,

The webcomic…

Image result for the short con comic is an amazing and captivating short story.

You did an amazing job writing and illustrating this work! The Short Con is one of my favorite stories I have recently read! I loved all the twists! And an orphanage that is actually a police precinct is an amazing idea. Pops is my favorite character because she’s so head strong and smart!

I love the art style and color choices! I’m big into colors and your choices POP! Alek’s style is awesome and cute and illustrative and expressive and makes me feel all warm and happy inside! And Pete’s writing is funny and on-point! I think you guys made a great story together. I hope to see more from you two!

Dear Sarah Sobole,

The webcomic… pretty cute.

I really loved Doctor Cat, but Girl Tawk is my jam! I am a girl and I also like to talk. Haha. I just really enjoy the funny little conversations your characters have. I love how random, innocent, and cute they are! I think my favorite character is the dog. Simply because I really love circle eyebrows! You also do a great job with expressions and movement. Your characters have a lot of life to them!

Black and white is one of my favorite color palettes for webcomics. #1 it makes comics feel like they’re in the Sunday paper. #2 It’s simple and allows focus to be on the story/character design. Colors can be overwhelming. You have just done an awesome job making cute, relatable jokes and characters that are unique/ lively. I really love Girl Tawk and all of your work really!

Keep it up and always be creative!

Dear Dorothy Gambrell,

I really love how self-aware…

Image result for cat and girl comic is.

I love how you have made this comic feel and remind me of a Sunday strip! Your webcomic is hilarious and awesomely existential. I love the design of the cat and girl because they’re just so simple and smart looking. You make a story go from happy to dark very quickly. I really like that and I also think how Cat and Girl deal with sadness is very relatable. So. Good.

I am so glad I stumbled upon your comic! I loved learning about you as a person and finding out you were a member of the House! I think that is amazing! You are a great cartoonist and I really enjoy your color choices when you make them. The latest comics with the blue are just great! Blue is my favorite.

Keep up the great work  and being creative!
