Dear Beka Duke,

I am so enamored with…

2017-10-07 (2).png

It’s absolutely magical. I love love love the mix of Phantom of the Opera and Frankenstien! It’s so cool and it works so well. The things I really enjoy most about your work is the costume designs and the characters. The clothes move and fit the characters so well. It’s nice to get to know characters through their style and really adds a lot of flavor to the comic! The characters themselves are nicely realized and adapted into your work. I always love seeing familiar characters in a new light. I love Christine and she is so complex/ powerful!

Your story captures the tragic and horrid atmosphere of both stories well. The blend of the two is just such a smart and interesting idea! I also love how you never give all the details and you switch between memories and the present. It just makes me want to read more and more to figure out the drama and the mystery!! I want to know your twist on things! I can’t wait to read more!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Love,

The Webcomic Whisperer

Dear Tessa Stone,

I am terrified by…

Image result for not drunk enough

Terrified…but in love. YOUR COMIC IS SO GOOD!!! It is so bloody and beautiful. Everything feels fast paced and like MY life is on the line. I feel like I am going to die along with the rest of your characters. Whom I love by the way. I really love Varker! He is so irritable and sassy!!! And his head-tongue is cool too.

You’re very good at interjecting comedy in the midst of terror. Many times while reading I was both very amused and scared to death. You’re illustrations of terrifying creatures are so well designed and imaginative.  Your colors are very atmospheric and vibrant. They set the mood and really make me feel immersed. I also love the way your panels flow and punch the story along. Makes me feel like I have to keep reading, keep running, or the monsters will get me too!!!

Your character designs, colors, panels, etc. All of it is awesome, well done, professional, beautiful, amazing, exciting, and all around super duper bone shaking-ly scary as shit. I can not wait for more updates!!!!!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Cryoclaire and Lo Black,

I am so tripping on…

Image result for drugs and wires

You have put a lot of thought into the environment, social setting, and political landscape of Drugs and Wires.  I also read Dreamspace and I love it!!! I am a big fan of the cyberpunk aesthetic and dark humor! Cryoclaire’s use of color and visualization of trippy scenes is amazing… and a little horrific. I just really enjoy the creative take on how you depict Dan’s self-inflicted misery. Great work!

I am really liking Lo Black’s writing as well! I like how the focus is on Dan/ Lin and the over-all plot is coming together in bits and pieces. Like, every time I think Dan is going to get better or at least be “okay” and there is a little hope…well that is taken away and covered in more mystery about what this “worm” really is or something else bad. I can not wait to read more and learn more about Dan and Lin and the crazy world they inhabit.

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Pascalle Lepas,

There is a lot of weird and crazy stuff happening in…

And I am loving it! Your story is really great because the characters feel real and the situations are fantastical!! I love the classic protagonist (Oscar Wilde) coming to a town he doesn’t know and getting more that he bargained for.  I really love all the complicated and interesting characters Oscar meets as well.  Sylvia Snyder is my favorite so far! She is so sweet and a great companion to Oscar. I’m sure she makes him feel a little at ease in such a bizarre town! Yet, I have been worried about her lately…

I am so giddy about the classical literature and Native American mythology references you make in this comic! They aren’t over done and you put a unique twist to them. And I really enjoy the imagery of the action scenes you create and how you move the story along through your drawings. You show more sometimes rather than tell. I think that takes great skill and is amazing. I really enjoy your art style as well. AND the writing is great!!

I can not wait to see more with the werewolf buddy and the blue rose witch! And I can not wait to see what mysterious and horrific things happen next!

Keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Michelle Czajkowski,

I’m glad I got a chance to finally read…

Image result for ava's demon

Your comic feels like a moving, motion picture! I read that your goal is to make the comic read like a color script for a movie! Well, YOU HAVE DONE IT! Seriously, you make the character’s movement seem fluid and realistic page by page. During intense scenes the pages seem to go by faster or maybe I just click faster. Either way, you’re great at making things move along.

You’re skilled at capturing the true feeling and emotions of your characters as related to their ages. This may be attributed to the fact you began writing this story at a young age, but also I just think you’re an awesome writer and artist. Character seem, act, and emote as expected in their unlikely situation. Their feelings and reactions are so realistic and literally drawn all over their faces! Everything is so detailed and thought out! AND OH! The colors and line work and drawing and all the artistic elements are really just Ah-MA-ZING! Colors especially on point.

I can tell you work really hard on Ava’s Demon and have been working on the story for a long time. I think your rich and personal connection with the work is super special and beautiful. I really admire your style and am kinda jealous. You are really dedicated to this story and it shows. I can not wait to meet more demons, see more pacts, and see what happens next in the Titan HQ!

Please, keep up the hard work and being creative.

Dear Lulu VanHoagland,

The most normal comic I have ever read is…

Image result for monsterous mimi

So. Normal. There is barely anything to write about. I really love how bland and boring the character Mimi is. How she walks around in her normally cute clothes and how she carries around her totally typical tentacled pet. Mimi is such a good girl and I really enjoy her average advice on beauty and getting rid of unwanted casual pimples. Her friends seem pretty lackluster as well. Ophelia and Ozzy both start with O…so…yeah.

In all seriousness, I really enjoy your webcomic! It has bright fun colors and always takes a surprising turn to the dark! I am honestly always a little creeped out. It is hard to find a good cute/horror comic these days. If you have any suggestions, let me know. I feel like this comic fills the void that my middle school self needed filled.  Thank you for making such a delightfully scary and adorable comic creation.

Please, keep up the hard work and being creative!

Dear Ryan Andrews,

I’m seriously spooked and delighted by

Image result for nothing is forgotten ryan andrews Nothing is Forgotten and Other Short Stories by YOU!

I first read Sarah and the Seed and was scared that something seriously dangerous would happen. The psychological and emotional reactions the characters had to their odd situation built up suspense in a great way. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending! So beautifully done. It’s like her wishes for a big family where all put in one literal seed!

You other stories have similar grim and disturbing themes. Yet, the story lines lean toward to optimistic. Even though things might seem scary and unknown, everything turns out okay or at least normal. I really enjoy your intriguing plots and how you beautifully illustrate them! I mean… the art is really great! I really love the subtle colors and texture in your comic. The line work and character design is awesome as well! You have a very expressive and fun style.

I am very inspired by your work and the fact that you are living in Japan! Living in Japan is a dream of mine!! I’ll have to email you to talk more about it!
Keep up the hard work and being creative!
